Valentines Fun...

As Marty mentioned we had a great Valentines Day together as a married couple.  We spent a quiet evening at home.  I fixed Marty a dinner (as usual) of some of his favorite foods and I made him a silly card where some of the words were candy bars.  For example- You make me feel like 100 grand, but instead of writing 100 grand there was the candy bar. :)

(we ate some of the candy)
Marty brought me red, pink and white ( our wedding colors) gerber daisies and chocolate fondue fixings.  We both had tummy aches from eating way too much chocolate- but we had a great night together.

The BIG news that Marty wanted me to share from this past week is that we bought a new car!  He says that was my Valentines present:), and it was a great one at that!  We had been researching different cars for a while, and we decided on a small SUV.  Last Saturday, we made the rounds at the different dealerships we were interested in.  It came down to the 2008 Toyota Highlander or the 2008 Honda CRV.  Marty haggled and haggled with the Toyota salesman and got a price that was $2,000 under invoice ( he is such a great salesman).  We thought it was a great deal, yet we did not think we needed that big of a car/truck at this point in our lives.  The salesman convinced us to take it home for the weekend and see what we though.  Well, I was terrified to drive the Highlander because it is HUGE and Norfolk streets are so tiny.  So, Marty took the Highlander back on Monday and we settled on the 2008 Honda CRV.  After 5 hours, the awkardness of haggling with another salesman, and a ton of paperwork at the Honda dealership, we are proud owners of a new CRV! It is tan inside and out, it drives like a car yet you are higher up, it and my favorite part is the sunroof!  We love it!    We took it up to PA this weekend to visit my parents and it reassured us that it is the car/suv for us.
Here is a picture!

Thanks for keeping up with our lives here in Tidewater.  We love you and miss you!
