My deepest apologises to the blogging world on our lack of updates. Marty and I have had a crazy couple of months. I have finally completed my first year of teaching! I cannot believe that the year flew by so fast, and that I survived! I loved my experience at my school, yet I decided to transfer to another school in the district. I will be teaching kindergarten (if nothing changes) with a good friend from college, Ashley. I can't wait to begin! We have done so much, that I am overwhelmed on how to get our blog up to date. I will begin with our one year anniversary- which was about a month ago- May 19. We went to St. Michael's, Maryland and stayed at the Inn at Perry Cabin It was a beautiful Inn that sat right on the water. Our room was beautiful with a little porch that we could sit on and look at the water. We had a great little getaway to celebrate surviving our first year of marriage. Everyone says the first year is the hardest, which I don't quite agree with. Yes, it is a weird adjustment to living with a boy, yet we have just had a lot of fun! I have learned a lot about Marty over this first year and I would not be a good wife if I didn't embarrass him by sharing just a few things I have learned.
1. He cannot use the bathroom with the bathroom fan on.
2. He thinks work clothing must come off imediately after coming home from work.
3. The TV clicker adomatically belongs to him.
4. Cleaning up after dinner means clean up what you feel like cleaning.
There are a lot of other things that I have learned over this first year of marriage that I just can't remember right now. But truthfully, it has been a great year and I am looking forward to many wonderful years to come. Below I have added some pictures from Inn at Perry Cabin.
