We have been so quiet on the blog recently because we have been very busy with lots of change. Marty finished his second to last semester of seminary, and will finish this last semester from distance. We packed up our two bedroom apartment into a moving pod. I finished the year teaching and working as a youth intern at our church in St Louis. We traveled to PA, then VA, then moved down to Florida for Marty to begin his first call as a student pastor (more news to come about that in another post). But the most exciting to news is that we are adding a little one to our family at the end of June!
I am currently 17 weeks along, and due on June 27. I feel very blessed to have a relatively easy pregnancy so far with little to no sickness. Here are some belly shots for those of you who have been asking :)
Symptoms? tiredness, some nausea in the evening, adversion to sweets
Sleep? All the time, no trouble in this area yet
Food cravings? Meat, veggies, fruit, all things healthy
What I miss? Diet coke, energy
Best moments? Sharing our news with family and friends at various weeks, seeing the heartbeat at 9 weeks (130) and hearing the heartbeat at 12 weeks(160)
With all the transition and moving, we missed quiet a few pictures...but we I am going to give it my best effort to document from here on out for y'all that are far away from us during this time.
Size of the baby? 5 inches long, weighs 5oz.
Maternity clothes? Not yet, I have ordered some and they are in the mail. I have using a belly band to help my pants work a little longer. I'm thankful for the warmer temps in Florida, but it is harder to cover up a baby bump :)
Gender? We find out at week 20, in three weeks
Sleep? Good, we are currently sleeping in two twin beds...so as good as you can imagine
Food cravings? Fruit: watermelon, grapes, apples, strawberries, melon
What I miss? Diet coke
Best moment? At the end of week 16, we met one of our new doctors and got to see the hospital that we will deliver in. It calmed a lot of my fears of moving in the middle of a pregnancy, and not knowing who would be caring for us here. Also, we got to hear Junebug's heartbeat again and this time it was around 160.
