27 weeks

Happy Easter!

How far along? 27 weeks
Size of the baby? Almost 2 lbs., the size of a head of cauliflower, 14 1/2 in.long
Maternity clothes? Mostly
Sleep? She is moving up a storm, which is making it more difficult to sleep through the night. We love feeling her move and kick though, it is a great reminder of her health and growth.
Cravings? Same old, same old...We may or may not have 6 cartons of Breyers in the freezer because of a BOGO sale at Publix this week:). Lets see how long they last:)
Symptoms? Tight tummy, lower back pain
Best moments of the week? We traveled to Atlanta this week to go to a youth leaders conference where we got to see some friends from seminary. We greatly enjoyed reconnecting with friends, and feel so blessed to have loved ones all over. We also enjoyed our first Easter together as a family of three, although next year we will really feel like a family of three.

We helped with the egg hunt at church on Saturday and had fun dreaming of having our little Junebug with us next year decked out in a cute smocked dress and hair bow.

Marty made his traditional Easter cake again this year, lemon raspberry cake with lemon buttercream icing. We enjoyed dinner and the cake after church with some friends from church and had a relaxing afternoon together.

26 weeks

How far along? 26 weeks (as of last Thursday)
Size of the baby? 1 2/3 lbs. and 14 inches long. She is the size of a cucumber.
Materity clothes? Mostly, but I am trying to be creative and make some of my normal waredrobe last throughout the pregnancy.
Sleep? Transitioning to the left side most of the time
Cravings? Maybe it is because Easter is right around the corner, but I have started to want sweets other than ice-cream this week. Still loving all fruits, veggies, and peanutbutter.
What do I miss? Not too much
Symptoms? Feeling very very tight
Best moments of the week? We have started the ball rolling on the nursery and registries. Marty put together the crib in the garage because we had visitors in town staying in the guest room/nursery. Then we moved it upstairs to the nursery only to find out it didn't fit through the door. So, Marty took it apart and put it back together in the nursery...major husband points:)

I found a cute dresser that we are going to use as a changing table/dresser combo. It was only $25 at an antique store in the county and I love all the charm. Marty is planning on sanding it down and putting a fresh coat of white paint on it.

I also found some embroidery hoops at an estate sale to decorate the walls of the nursery. I'm thinking a plain fabric with a large monogram in the biggest hoop, and then some soft, girly print fabrics in the others.

How far along? 25 weeks
Size of the baby? 13 1/2 inches, she weighs about a pound and a half, the size of a rutabaga
Maternity clothes? Still some pre- pregnancy clothes (pictured here: as you can tell I am busting out ) but mostly maternity clothing now
Sleep? Starting to toss and turn, I may give in a purchase a body pillow soon. She is the most active at night, kicking and punching.
Cravings? Still vanilla all natural ice-cream, peanut butter, fruit
What do I miss? Fitting into all the clothes in my closet
Symptoms? Lower back pain, I have found myself standing with an arched back
Best moments of the week? My mom ordered a crib and mattress for Junebug, and it arrived this week. We also found a great dresser at an antique store that Marty is going to clean up and paint for her room. It has been so fun to begin to get some things for her nursery. Only a few more months and she will be here with us! The preperation has been so fun!
