31 weeks

How far along? 31 weeks (and 5 days)
Size of the baby? About 3.3 lbs. and 16 inches long
Sleep? She is moving like crazy at night, yet once I fall asleep I can rest through the night.
Belly button? Still in
Cravings? Peanut butter, water, water and lots of water!
Symptoms? Tightness, nesting
What I miss? Diet coke, now that is has been in the 80s consistently I want the refreshing bubbles of diet coke more often. Also, I miss being able to do home projects by myself. Can't rearrange too much by myself.
Best moment of the week? I had an appointment today, and I got to hear another healthy heartbeat. I also enjoyed helping with a shower for a sweet friend who is due 3 weeks after me over the weekend. It was a great time to celebrate Junebug's BFF :)

30 weeks

How far along? 30 weeks and 4 days

Size of the baby? 15.7 inches long, almost 3 pounds (a head of cabbage)

Sleep? We have been traveling this week, so it has varied from really good to really bad. She is still very active in the evening, and likes to move and kick while I'm trying to rest. I have started sleeping with 4 pillows, which helps. I'm not too sure how Marty is enjoying the extra space I take up now though :)

Symptoms? I have been more hungry this week, and my tummy is popping out more.

What I'm missing? I'm starting to want diet coke again, and I wish I could plow through aroad trip without having to stop for the bathroom all the time again.

Cravings? All things healthy, veggies, salad, fruit, cheese...nothing too specific this week.

Best moments? What a great week it has been! Marty and I decided on a last minute quick babymoon trip on our way to Virginia for our baby shower. We went to Charleston, where we honeymooned almost 6 years ago. We stayed on the beach in Isle of Palms, and spent some time on the beach and exploring the city. We even got a free upgrade to an oceanfront room because we were on our babymoon :).

Then we traveled to Durham, NC and spent the night with sweet seminary friends. We had a great visit with them and felt so loved by their hospitality.

Then we made it to Virginia and were showered with love at our first baby shower for Junebug. I was overwhelmed by all the family and friends that attended and wanted to celebrate our little girl. I wanted to be able to visit with everyone for hours and hours. I was so blessed by that time, and feel very encouraged to start heading down this path to my new role as a Mama very soon.

29 weeks

How far along? 29 weeks

Size of the baby? 2 1/2 lbs. like a butternut squash, about 15 inches long

Sleep? She is super squirmy at night. I am waking up a few times every night, and I am not able to sleep in anymore.

Symptoms? Starting to get a nesting bug. I want to get all the projects for the nursery started, and organize every area of our townhouse.

Cravings? Peanut butter, yogurt, ice-cream, sweet potatoes. I am feeling much hungrier again as well, similar to the first trimester.

What do I miss? Sleeping on my back

Best moments of the week? Marty and I are taking a short babymoon this week, and I am really looking forward to some alone time away together before our livess are changed forever in just two short months :).

28 weeks

(Today I am 29 weeks, but better late then never)

How far along? 28 weeks

Size of the baby? 2 1/4 lbs. and about 14.8 inches long.

Sleep? I'm starting to toss and turn a little because she is super active at night. Lots of kicking and squirming recently.

Cravings? Fruit, peanut butter, ice-cream, eggs

What I am missing? Sleeping on my back, big gulps of diet coke

Symptoms? Tightness in the belly, some nesting, cleaning and organizing rushes

Best moments of the week? We had an ultrasound on Monday, and got to see her! We could see her blinking her eyes, moving her mouth open and closed, her heart beating, her legs kicking, and lots more. We tried to get another profile picture, yet she would not move her head enough to get a good shot. Oh well, we are so blessed to have a healthy baby girl who is thriving so far. Everything is measuring right on track. We also toured the hosptial where we will get to meet Junebug, and the rooms were big and spacious and best of all private. It is a pretty quiet hospital, so I think we will be well cared for there.
