Hatley-Grace Week 2

Hattie-Grace has grown and changed so much already :)  We went to the doctor yesterday for her 2 week appointment.  She weighed 6 lbs. 11oz. and was 19 inches long!  She gained over a pound.  It is such a relief to see these healthy growth signs and to know she is thriving.

We are getting into more of a routine with Hattie-Grace at home.  She eats every 2 1/2-3 hours like clockwork.  We start our day with a 6:30 feeding, and continue throughout the day with a wake time, nap time, and feeding routine.  On Wednesday, when HG was 2 weeks old, we moved her from the pack n play in our room to the crib in the nursery and she has done so well.

HG is such a content baby, she cries when she is hungry or gassy and that is pretty much it.  She got really congested this week, and we have learned how to suction her nose really well.

I went into total nesting mode the past 2 weeks, needing the nursery to be completed.  I think since the past few weeks were technically my 38-40th week of pregnancy, the nesting hormone kicked into high gear!  I did not nap until the nursery was complete.  Now that it is "done", well functioning, I am able to rest more and enjoy more cuddle time with Hattie-Grace.  Poor Marty had to deal with me and my long list of projects that could not wait.  (A nursery update post to come)

Here are some sweet pictures from the past week:
We go on walks around the neighborhood every day.  This Mama needs her sun time :)  Hattie- Grace loves the heat and sun as well.

Big blue eyes :)

This bunny is a regular in the kitchen when I'm fixing breakfast after our 6:30 feeding.

Snuggles with Mama.

Sleeping in the crib.

Putting up with Mama nesting non-stop :)

An outfit my Grandmother, Hatley-Grace's namesake, gave her at our Virginia shower.

Starting to like the bath.

This girl loves her hands free.

Yay, some newborn clothes are starting to fit well!  Thanks Mimi.
First Sunday morning at church.  We sat in the crying babies room since HG was already congested and we didn't want to expose her to more germs.  She slept through the entire service.  Next week we are venturing into the sanctuary.
