30 weeks

HG is continuing to learn how to eat solids this week.  She had green beans, and bananas for the first time this week.  She is still enjoying avocados, carrots and sweet potatoes.  I think she really likes carrots and bananas currently...but who can really tell with a 6 month old :)
She has started pulling my hand to her mouth when she wants more to eat.  We have tried the sign more, yet I think it will be awhile before she is able to mimic it.

HG was spoiled with lots of new toys for Christmas.  She loves her rings, blocks, books and bath toys.

She will shake this block with a rattle all day long.  We really think we could leave her alone for hours and she would be content hearing it rattle.
She has started sleeping on her side and tummy some this week.  I always put her down on her back, according to the AAP suggestions, and it is fun to see how she settles into a good nights sleep.
Just today, she started sitting up more securely and was even playing while sitting.  She still flops back over after about 5 minutes, but she is more controlled while sitting.

HG is rolling all over the place.  She wants to roll under the couches, chairs and crib.
I don't have any pictures, but HG has started to "play" in her bath.  She loves the bath toys my Mom got her, and will kick her legs until the toys get close enough to grab.  She will squeal and scream and splash in the water.  I can't wait to get her in the pool once it warms up, I think she really enjoys being in the water.

She also is making a new growling sound, and whining sound this week.  I am seeing glimpses of some separation issues, so we are trying out the nursery at church and being with other people more intentionally as well.  I think this is a normal thing for 6 months, yet she has always been so good about going to other people, I would like to keep it that way :)

Until the 7 month update on the 12th, stay warm!
