Birthday Party

We had a simple, playdate style birthday party for Hatley-Grace on Monday at our house.  HG loves playing outside, so we got out all her favorite toys, chalk, bubbles, bikes, balls, water table, pool, sand box and the sprinkler.  She had a fun morning play with friends!
The food was simple snacks, watermelon sticks (covered b/c of the bugs), blueberry and banana muffins, sausage balls and butterfly snack bags with Cherrios, goldfish and raisins.

It was hot out so the sprinkler was a hit!

After everyone was sufficiently soaked and tired out, we all sang happy birthday to HG!
And enjoyed homemade popsicles.  I found a great recipe for yummy banana peanut butter popsicles and made a chocolate version as well, which HG promptly chose and enjoyed!
It is so bittersweet to see your baby grow up and thrive.  I'm excited to watch her continue to develop into the little girl God has planned for her to be, yet I will always remember her as a little bitty newborn as well.

Oh my goodness! This birthday party was out of this world. The kiddos are looking so cute in these photos. My son is asking me to arrange a Batman birthday party for him. So I have to look for outdoor party venue rentals for this as my home is very small to host such a themed party.
