Christmas week

Mimi and Pops worshiped with us on Sunday morning.
We went to a neat live nativity that evening.  You walked through this nativity, and it began at Adam and Eve and continued with scenes throughout the Bible leading to Jesus' birth.

Christmas Eve we canoed in Kings Bay to catch a view of some manatees.  A mama and her baby manatee swam right under our canoe.
We stopped for a picnic snack at the park.
Doesn't really look like Christmas Eve...but we enjoyed it!

Advent activities

We loved the Little People nativity set again this year.  Many evenings were spent by the Christmas tree building a stable for Jesus.
We played with cookie cutters, and HG liked hanging them around the kitchen.
We made salt dough ornaments this year. HG chose to make Christmas tree ornaments, and we painted them green with polka dot ornaments.

We visited the Crystal River Christmas parade.  HG learned that if she said "Merry Christmas" she got lots of candy canes.
We baked sugar cookies with my small group girls.

We watched lots of Charlie Brown.
Santa came to visit at library time and we made crafts there as well.

Hatley-Grace also learned to love a little tea with her milk with me in the morning.

Christmas Card pictures

This year, I had to cancel our annual family photo shoot with our friend Carolyn Allen.  She captures such beautiful pictures of our family and I was disappointed to miss out on her talent.
I decided last minute one day to call up two girls in my small group, and asked them to attempt a few family photos for us at one of our favorite parks on Kings Bay.
In 20 minutes, they captured some great shots for us!

I embraced the Florida life in this years pictures with bright colors and the coastal landscape.  There is no reason to pretend it isn't 80+ degrees here.

This sweet girl loves her Daddy so much!
This little smirk steals my heart!

All tuckered out from pictures!  It is hard work cheesing :)
